“Emotions” – Antonio Koudeles third album for Prudence bears a truly programmatic title! The former member of several internationally renowned classical orchestras, who in the 80s and 90s played with the cream of America’s Jazz from Dee Dee Bridgewater to Lalo Shifrin, uses his astounding finesse and his virtuosity in the 14 tracks of this album strictly to serve the expression of his inner soul. Top notch musicians like acclaimed young jazz pianist Roberto Di Gioia, keyboard-wizard Lazlo Benker or Germanys worldclass drummer Wolfgang Haffner put their best into this wonderfully relaxed and tasteful collection of songs. “We had a wonderful atmosphere during the sessions – and I think the music radiates that”, says Antonio Koudele. On “Emotions” he elegantly moves between smooth and sophisticated urban jazz and soulful pop. Here he again and again masters the rare treat of expressing even joyful emotions through the means of deep and ambitious musicality.
